DID YOU KNOW? (THE BIGGEST TREE)

The General Sherman is a giant sequoia (Sequoiadendron giganteum) tree located in the Giant Forest of Sequoia National Park inTulare County, in the U.S. state of California. It's a biggest tree in the world.

DID YOU KNOW? (LIANA)

liana is any of various long stemmedwoody vines that are rooted in the soil at ground level and use trees, as well as other means of vertical support, to climb up to the canopy to get access to well-lit areas of the forest. Lianas are especially characteristic of tropical moist deciduous forests and rainforests, including temperate rainforests. There are also temperatelianas, for example the members of the Clematis or Vitis (wild grape) genera.

DID YOU KNOW? (THE AMAZON JUNGLE)

The Amazon rainforest, also known in English as Amazonia or the Amazon Jungle, is a moist broadleaf forest that covers most of the Amazon Basin of South America. The majority of the forest is contained within Brazil, with 60% of the rainforest, followed by Peru with 13%, Colombia with 10%, and with minor amounts in Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. States or departments in four nations contain "Amazonas" in their names. The Amazon represents over half of the planet's remaining rainforests, and comprises the largest and most biodiverse tract of tropical rainforest in the world, with an estimated 390 Million individual trees divided into 16,000 species

DID YOU KNOW? (THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN)

Mount Everest is the largest and highest mountain in the world. Mount Everest is in the Himalayas. It is about 8,848 metres high.
Its peak is on the border of Nepal and China. It is above the Death Zone where the air is too thin for a human being, so usually extra oxygen is used when climbing. The Death Zone refers to the parts of Mount Everest that are above 7,600m above sea level.
Two other mountains also can be named as "highest" mountains - the volcano Mauna Kea on Hawaii island is the highest mountain measured from the base underwater to the summit and the summit of Chimborazo is the fixed point on Earth which is the greatest distance from the center - because of the modified ball shape of the planet Earth which is "thicker" around the Equator than measured around the poles.

DID YOU KNOW?(THE FASTEST ANIMAL)

The cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) is a large feline (family Felidae, subfamily Felinae) inhabiting most of Africa and parts ofIran. It is the only extant member of the genus Acinonyx. The cheetah can run faster than any other land animal— as fast as 112 to 120 km/h (70 to 75 mph) in short bursts covering distances up to 500 m (1,600 ft), and has the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in three seconds.

DID YOU KNOW? (FOREST TAIGA)

Taiga also known as boreal forest or snowforest, is abiome characterized by coniferous forests consisting mostly of pinesspruces and larches.
The taiga is the world's largest terrestrial biome. In North America it covers most of inland Canada and Alaska as well as parts of the extreme northern continental United States (northern Minnesotathrough the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Upstate New York and northern New England), where it is known as the Northwoods.Eurasia, it covers most of SwedenFinland, much of Norway, some lowland/coastal areas of Iceland, much of Russia from Karelia in the west to the Pacific Ocean (including much of Siberia), and areas of northern Kazakhstan, northern Mongolia, and northern Japan (on the island of Hokkaidō). However, the main tree species, the length of the growing season and summer temperatures vary. For example, the taiga of North America mostly consists of spruces; Scandinavian and Finnish taiga consists of a mix of spruce, pines and birch; Russian taiga has spruces, pines and larches depending on the region, while the Eastern Siberian taiga is a vast larch forest.
